HOW THEY WORK—
Commissions are definitely welcomed and are actually the bulk of my work.
I need four things in order to get started 50% deposit, the size of the piece, the colors that you’d like to incorporate, and a basic understanding of the composition of the piece. Images of two paintings that I’ve done along with what you like or dislike about them are extremely helpful for determining the composition and overall style of the commissioned piece.
Once I finish the painting I will send you images so we can make any necessary changes to the piece, if need be. These changes usually include change of color in the shapes, a change in the shapes themselves, more scribble, etc.
I usually allow one set of changes, but it’s all about being fair to both parties. I want to be happy with the painting as well as you. The current lead time is ten weeks from the date the non-refundable deposit is received.
